East Coast Lot & Pavement Maintenance, with offices serving RI, MA, NH, CT and NY, has been a recognized leader in the full-service parking lot and landscape maintenance service industry for 20 years. We currently have an opening for an Account Manager to further develop our CT & NY market areas.

Position Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for new business development, sales forecasting, meeting sales goals, maintaining strong customer relationships, providing outstanding customer service and maximizing customer satisfaction and retention.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop market share by selling East Coast’s services to new commercial customers primarily through prospecting, cold calling, phone follow-up and sales presentations at the administrative, management and senior management levels.
• Implement a sales strategy to ensure East Coast meets its revenue and profit objectives through new business development and the maintenance of productive working relationships with its customers.
• Identify target markets and create prospect lists utilizing creative lead generating techniques.
• Establish call plans and customer follow-up strategies and tactics, and consistently apply time and territory management techniques.
• Sell additional services to new and existing accounts that increase revenue opportunities.
• Establish, build and expand relationships with potential customers at multiple levels within the organization.
• Conduct post service follow-up by contacting customers, ensuring commitments were met and affirming customer satisfaction.
• Utilize approved marketing materials and incorporate them into sales presentations and proposals to prospects, assuring the customer understands the features, advantages and benefits of East Coast’s services over those of the competition.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of East Coast’s complete line of services through in-house training and reading/research.
• Track and monitor account activity as well as proposal and sales performance utilizing various software programs.
• Estimate and price proposals/bids and renew customer agreements.
• Process work orders and complete all paperwork in accordance with company approved and standardized procedures.
• Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience with a proven track record of successful outside B2B sales demonstrated by the consistent ability to meet and exceed goals.
• Strong prospecting, follow up and closing abilities.
• Results driven and customer focused.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of customer relationship management software such as Salesforce, Act!, Goldmine, etc.
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
• Available for travel, which may include nights to accommodate customer schedules.
• Prior experience in a service industry, selling to facilities management decision makers desired.
